OOC|| I wasn't here to role play Gemma in her pregnancy, so I'm going to use my godly admin powers to bend time and break rules. @.@ Gemma is currently one season pregnant. Sorry if this ticks anyone off.
The light flurries danced gracefully around the blonde girl, who's hair is slightly longer and much more unkept than it had been since she arrived as a hopeful Innkeeper. However, her hair wasn't the only change. Her once lean body became a beautiful curve. A bump appeared on her torso, which laid odd upon her frame. Her breasts, too, have grown, but these new changes were hidden underneath layers of clothing. Gemma was thankful that the days became colder, as she could hide her growing stomach from the rest of the world. Especially her boyfriend, Markus, who she knew would have one big shitfit if he found out.
Gemma sat on the dock, her arms behind her and her legs dangling just a foot above the cold water. She never particularly liked Winter, but she had grown hopeless as days gone by. People would find out, or assume, and fear enveloped her entire personality. She had grown cold and distant, and she wondered whether or not anyone would notice. She was so young, she had her life ahead of her... These thoughts raced through her mind so often, and now as she looks out to the sea her tears fell, staining her cheek in ice.
Everything was beyond her control. - - - - - - - - - - - -

Jason wasn't sure why he was so attracted to water. The atmosphere by the ocean was so different than the rest of the world, it was sort of like a place where people could just zone out and evaporate into nothing. It was like they were invisible, and living in their own fantasy world at times. He liked that. Staring at the water also made him think too much about the love he had lost, though. He just had to take the good with the bad.
Like he did quite frequently, the man walked across the beach. At first, he was headed toward some large rocks that he took pleasure in leaning against most days and just gazing out at the vast range of the clear liquid. Today, though, he spotted a lone soul sitting on the dock.
A blond woman, looking quite woeful, appeared to be crying. The man had always been a kind person, and by instinct, he started in her direction. He just couldn't pass her by without attempting to comfort her.
After about a minute, he was standing beside her sitting form on the dock, peering down at her with soft eyes. His hands were shoved in the pockets of his jeans, his coat hugging him tightly. "Hey, you going to be okay?" he asked weakly, but with concern leaking from the deep voice.

The sound of the waves couldn't even soothe this poor, mistaken girl, as she continued to shed her tears. Her cheeks became extremely cold, yet Gemma couldn't wipe them away. She had gone so long without crying now, even though she's a self-proclaimed open book. She tried to think of the positives and be optimistic, but the tears fell down her cheeks.
"Hey, you going to be okay?"
Gemma frantically wiped her face, but she refused to look at the figure beside her. "No, uhm, I'm okay. Really!" She said, but the way her nose sniffled said otherwise. "It's just the weather making me all red, no worries!" She added a laugh, yet it was forced. All Gemma wanted to do was continue to cry and let out her emotions, but now with this new presence she had to hold it in like always.

Jason's eyes flickered to look out at the water instead of the sad female. After letting out a soft hum, he said, "Ah, okay." It was amazing how people could cry right in front of someone and then deny anything was wrong. He found it odd, but he didn't want to pry. Obviously there was a situation important enough to provoke such emotions from her.
The air between them was a bit awkward and uncomfortable, but the man attempted to shrug it off. He didn't like it when that happened. "I haven't ever seen you around here before. I'm Jason Peterson." He was trying to switch the subject to something that would possibly distract her from whatever was making her so down. "Are you new to Charoite Village, or have I just not been venturing around enough to see you anywhere?"
He hoped she didn't feel like he was intruding on anything, although he had just caught her crying. How could this mysterious woman not feel like he was intruding?
